We are Sarah and Jonathan of S and J’s Woodfired Pizza. This business is going to be awesome. It’s the brain child of loving pizza, eating together as a “clan” and being outdoors. Both Sarah and I have grown into hating our jobs, hating to go to work and hating to not be our own boss. Sarah and I love pizza, love being our own boss and love being in control of our lives. We don’t need THE MAN. Do you? So, S & J's Woodfired Pizza took form.

This is the first of many posts on our progress as a clan and as our progress as a business. We are both bound to change the lives of our clan with the invention, stabilization and growth of OUR pizza business.

To get this new life started, Sarah and I created the concept of S & J's Woodfired Pizza. We wanted to enter the restaurant world and make it big with the best pizza ever. Awesome idea right? Well on the more realistic side we decided to take it slow and start mobile before we went brick and mortar.

What makes great pizza… the Dough, the Sauce, and the Oven. I started creating my dough recipe and sauce recipes, and we worked on the oven. The best pizzas comes from natural fire. I am not taking away from the coal fired ovens of NYC, especially since I haven’t been there yet, but wood outplays gas or electric on any day, even Wednesdays. We want to make the best pizza around and let people know about it. We are going to start by traveling to festivals around Georgia selling our delicious pies and work our way from there.

We hope to be at your tailgate before baseball and football games, your ultimate frisbee or softball games, or any other sport around Atlanta.

We hope to be at your concerts and work Christmas parties.

We hope to be in your backyard at your super bowl, birthday party, engagement party, and any other reason eat pizza.

It is our eventual goal to open a store and keep it running for years to come. With our hardwork, sweat, tears and love combined with your empty bellies and need for some pizza this side of “delish”, we hope to make that dream a reality. So for those of you who have made it down to the end of this lengthy opening statement be prepared for the days and months to follow and live the dream with us. Enjoy the RIDE.
